Intimations of Self-Integration

Young Woman, Pablo Picasso

i.

at first
there is silence
and how it creeps in
and settles into the corners even
most neglected, most marginalized

ii.

and also
there is solitude
and how it lingers
on windowpanes by day
on shadowed walls by dark

iii.

and too
there is awakening
and how it scintillates
in the intense midnight sky
serenading the tangoing stars

iv.

and then
there is wholeness
and how it manifests
in a quiet elaboration like
a shore that becomes the sea

"and how it lingers on window panes by day..."

I love that line! beautiful and rich... dripping.

I like how the piece evolves or allows each stanza to be independent. the 'numbering' is a nice touch to both set each apart and bind them together.

i do love your work, so.

And sometimes the stanzas can be written in reverse.

But I like this order better.

I think I will go for "Wholeness"

And wishing you much wholeness in this new year, goodness, it's been ages it seems like, hoping all is good in your universe...

Another stunning piece, Nevine. Silence and Solitude hit the spot.

Un très beau texte sur le silence et la solitude.
J'aime le silence et la solitude. Ces moments rares où on est en tête à tête avec soi-même;o)
Et j'ai adoré "like a shore that becomes the sea!

..."like a shore that becomes the sea!"

love your divine words, my dearest!
solitude and wholeness, it's amazing how these two words said it all.
only you can make "solitude" sound great! (i just don't like to be alone, i guess.)

thanks so much for the beauty you offer us through your poems.

big hugs!
betty

p.s. my apologies for being so late to comment.
but better late than never right!

I like your appreciation of corners. I always notice that you like everything to touch the most deepest parts.

Loved the journey.

Joy always,
Susan

There is a peace in the pacing of all this, and a sense of the wholeness encompassing the silence, the solitude in a deeply felt manner. I like this muchly
